N-2 shouldn't sell ores
As someone mentioned in some other thread, miners are at a huge disadvantage with N2 having premium ores available for sale.
Cheaper premium ores such as carbonic or aquean should be fine since these are abundant, but anything above Premium VanAzek shouldn't be sold there, at least not in quantities over 100.

Maybe all stations shouldn't sell ore so that mining becomes useful for once.
Different solution: Drastically increase the buy and sell price of ores, especially rare ones like Pyronic. At least 3x maybe even 4x or more.

They don't. Stations except N2 sell only cheap versions of premium ores which can't be mined and are worthless.
A huge price increase for every few ores bought would work too, but still allows people sitting on tons of credits to just avoid mining completely.
Limited supply would make sense RP wise as ores like Pyronic need to be hauled all the way from serco space through dangerous systems.

N2 shouldn't get restocked NPC ore. But it should resell premium ores sold by players. +1

doesn't N2 only sell premium ore if a player first sells it to the station?
@greenwall In my experience, no. The ores seem to auto fill from NPCs.
I don't recall ever seeing premium ores in npc trade vessels, nor do I recall ever seeing N2 be refilled by NPCs. But it's been awhile since I cared at all about trading or mining, so... I guess it's possible things changed?
I just tested this today. I purchased all the helio in N-2, and a few moments later another 600 helio was instantly added to the station.No other players were docked.
I also did it (purchased everything) for all the other prem ores. And moments later 600 of each ore was added.

It is the only sector which sells premium ores and it is a good thing its getting retstocked by NPC's.
@WaF I wasn't sure if the devs could control what cargo the convoy carried, since ray told somewhere that there wasn't anyway for them to determine it. I could be wrong tho.

what about player escorts? I popped enough escorts to noticed some decent ores and weapons....mmmmmm120cu of railmk3 once.....happy days or corvus textiles are god like in dau L-10.

Some people have already filled their stations with the Rare Ores by Infini mining.

I'm not sure why Infini mining is being brought up. I suggest a separate thread to discuss that.

If npcs stopped stocking the station, trust me, miners would take over. I want more miners interacting with the player pilots in the game. N2 getting auto filled with magic prem ores takes away from that.

The Vendetta Online forums exist to promote the healthy, positive interaction of our game's community, providing a means for players to give constructive feedback and make suggestions about the game, plan for Events, and other topics.
These forums do not exist to provide a place for people to level nasty, personal attacks against other individuals or guilds.

It seems pretty clear that "NPCs" are not stocking the station. It's just auto refilling itself. If this is indeed what is going on, I would agree that it should stop as it's a total dis-incentivizer for miners. Add it to the long list of changes needed for n2.

If someone has been muted from the Suggestions forum, and then chooses to circumvent that mute, it is grounds for permanent banning of their account from the game, forums, and any other related services.
This is clearly laid out in the "Be Nice" policy thread, specifically:
Circumventing of Mutes should NEVER be done. If you have been muted, live with it. If you then choose to log in with a different account, and continue posting on the given thread, or forum, we may consider banning you from the game, forever.
If we've already warned you and spoken to you about this kind of behaviour, several times, then god help you, because I sure won't.

I agree with We All Float in that it should only sell player sold ores. I also agree that the buy and sell price for the rare ores be maybe even doubled.
