Varable Convoy Dodging
In the past, shooting across the bow of a convoy ship would cause them to break turbo and slow down in an attempt to dodge. This made pirating them easy -- you'd just get in front, block the way, and shoot to your heart's content as they tried futilely to go around. I noticed recently that they don't do this anymore. They just charge unflinchingly forward. I prefer this, as it feels more realistic and makes pirating them a bit more challenging. I do wonder if it's purposeful, though, or the result of a glitch?
But it got me thinking. Different convoys should have different behaviors when attacked. Some should just stand on the turbo pedal and GTFO, like they're doing now. Some should adopt the player-tactic of briefly cutting turbo to change heading slightly any time they're moving too linearly. And some -- if they have turrets -- should switch to a significantly different heading in an attempt to bring their turrets to bear (they can get back on course later if they survive).

+1 I agree it is too easy to make credits popping voys
