Make the Superlight repurchasable

The SL is the least used ship in the game due to the fact that it has paper thin armor and you can only make it a limited number of times. I think it should be repurchaseable for 500k just like capital ships are since it is much easier to lose and will spice up the current pvp meta

Since when is there a limit on how many can be made? As far as i know there is a corvus limit thing, but with a mission you can reset the number and continue to manu ships.

*shrugs* you still hit a ceiling but that’s not really the point of the suggestion it’s to make it repurchaseable so people use it more.

-1, you can buy them. From players who sold them to n2. Plus the idea of ships as light and fast as the SL being purchasable doesn't sit well with me

I thought N2 was bugged to where SLs couldnt be purchased, IL. Hence why people [use to] sell kits.

N-2 does not work. I tested it.

Maybe just lift the manufacturing limit to something like 3 per rolling 24 hour period? That would likly solve the problem.

If you plan on going through more then 3 of them in a single session, you are not likely to go through more then 21 of them in a week, much less 90 or so in a month. Pre positioning the supplies, and logging in for 10 minutes to crank out 3 of them is an easily solvable logistical problem for most people.

Eh? I've seen players buy them from N2 before

regardless of whether or not it can be purchased at n2 (I just got multiple reports from people it is greyed out because it should not be in the inventory and the purchase price is listed at 1199 even if you could buy it) it is still extremely easy to lose so the vast majority of the player base does not bother flying it. For example cap ships are much harder to kill than a super light yet you can buy them back due to the effort required to build them and to encourage people to fly them. The super light isn't really dangerous to anything except other pvpers so it would be nice to throw us a bone.

If inc wants to change it and make it saleable at n2 the price should at least reflect the effort required to gather the materials so manufacturers would be encouraged to build and sell them. regardless I still think the better outcome would just give them the same 500k insurance that cap ships have.

-1, if anything, we need more manufacturing missions. I'd rather see traders and builders doing what they do and pirates doing what they do.

There are so many cap ships in the game now, everyone should have no problem making these things other than laziness.

What? SLS are SUPER dangerous. They easily kill anything slower then them
Nov 27, 2018 peytros link
that is pretty easily disprovable ironlord, if they so easily killed anything slower than them (which is every ship in the game ironically) people would actually use and fly them. Currently the risk of losing them out weighs any benefit one would derive otherwise people would be flying them a lot more instead of having them gather dust in stations.

I think the idea of people being able to sell them at n2 for a reasonable price (say 1m?) would be a good idea and grow the player driven economy more. I do not want to manufacture I don't find it enjoyable I find pvp enjoyable, conversely there are people who love manufacturing and hate pvp. Theres no reason we can't find a suggestion that appeases these two groups of people.

My original suggestion of giving them insurance was just based on how current in game mechanics work with regards to other manufacturable ships and how insurance encourages players to use them in more risky situations.

Still, no. The SL can catch up to all ships and has high maneuverability. It's thrust makes it one of the better ships in game. Which is why it is a manu ship. If you like it, build it, or buy kits. It's that simple. If you really want a SL so bad spend maybe 30mins buying the materials from a player shop and n2. They aren't hard to make, I like that there are ships in game that require you to really out your back into it to have, and give you a adrenaline rush when using. The SL should stay where it is

Peytros, yer a smurf. You already have access to arguably the best pvp ship in the game. What the hell do you need an SL for?

A 3 small port light ship with the ability to chase everything but a hound.

How about make it re purchasable, but the price in credits is triple the price it takes to make it (Effort, hauling and actual cost of materials)

+1 if you can sell it at n2 the there is no reason not to be able to buy one. But only when someone manu one and sell at n2.

If no players manufactured AND sold the sl at n2 then the sl should not be available due to lack in stock.

I really don't know why the SL would need to be purchasable. Have you looked at the parts needed to manu this item? It is dead simple.

Instrumentation Panels 2 Trade Item
Premium Carbonic Ore 70 Ore
Premium VanAzek Ore 50 Ore
Premium Ferric Ore 60 Ore
Premium Silicate Ore 19 Ore
Premium Xithricite Ore 45 Ore
Pentric Ore 10 Ore
Thrust Regulators 4 Trade Item
Thermal Insulator Tiles 15 Trade Item
Engine Mounts 8 Trade Item
Data Link Connectors 6 Trade Item
Pilot Safety Harness 1 Trade Item
Navigation Units 2 Trade Item
Propellant Actuators 4 Trade Item
Outer Hull Plate 6 Trade Item
Hull Panels 15 Trade Item
Guardian Processor Core 4 Hive Drop
Artemis Processor Core 8 Hive Drop

Hire someone with a capital ship to move the parts around for you (the cores are easily farmed with L-mines) and have everything dropped off at a station. There is zero reason for this ship to be directly purchasable. I know some pilots who have over 50 of these ships ready to go at any given time.

Also, if i'm not mistaken, I think it is manufacturable by f2p/lite players. Meaning if they want to put a little work in, they get a pretty good ship that costs them zero crystal. (actually, because it requires hive drops, the mission gets them crystal indirectly)

Yea it's manufacturable, but it's a pain in the ass. I HATE mining and hauling a bunch of shit just for a paper thin little toy.

Maybe add that you have to manu a certain number before you can buy it?
