Make Corvus moth available for F2P
I can already hear "but the can already get BHM!" but just hear me out.
Everyone will end up using moth one way or another at some point since it's the best way to grind standings, trade or just move bulk of stuff around. Arguably for new players that don't have everything and the kitchen sink stored in every single station around universe already moth is much more valuable.
F2P certainly can get BHM by just mining a lot but that funnels them into arguably pretty boring task of mining a lot and given the conditions to get basic miner 2 doesn't really give newbs and F2P in general much reason to stray from nation space - why would they, just hug rock outside capital. Lots of tasks in VO are boring but that's probably not the best aspect to present to newbies and potential subscribers.
Lowering license for buying moth in Corvus stations to make them available for F2P gives incentive to travel out of nation space into grey, mission around in grey and generally be in grey. Which might end with them getting into PvP or just enjoying planning the perfect round around that one guy waiting for the moth to blow up. And it would invigorate the space lanes greatly. Also they won't have to mine which is boring.
And with easier access to moth F2P will be able to efficiently work on their standings sooner which will let them explore more of what VO has to offer faster. And they won't have to mine. It's boring.
Now again, F2P can already get BHM. Aside from armour mk1 is worse than BHM, its licenses from Corvus are already near F2P levels at -/-/5/2 and at same time mk1 makes for alright PvP ship to boot, again maybe getting more F2P and newbs into fights. If nothing else they won't have to mine a lot. Did I mention it's boring?
That's it for today's shower thought.

Well lets point out the first obvious thing.
There needs to be a reason to subscribe.
Something needs to be out of reach of those cheap freeloaders.
Besides F2P is limited to level 4 which is easy to reach without a moth.

If your going to spend so much time in the game, maybe you need to subscribe anyways. If you cannot, then save some christmas money or learn to play with what you have [which is much more than most people realize]
This is just silly.
When you are so much into the game, it should be worth the subscription. I'm also not buying the "getting more F2P and newbs into fights".

It's more about getting newbs and F2P into grey which will eventually result in getting them into fights, willing or not. Just watching F2P people talking in 100 about grinding towards basic miner 2 while sitting in nation space is depressing.
Giving them more behemoths wont help them combat-wise. They need to train in light fighters, not cargo ships. The issue isnt getting them into grey either; most tend to drift into grey - and simultaneously complain when they die as though they never saw the warning upon entry.
The biggest issue is just the attitude towards combat most new pilots have. They all *want* to avoid it, and shouldnt.

-1 to f2p getting the moth
+1 to f2p getting the light moth (but the crystal cost needs to be equal to the BHM)
Expanded idea: The Light moth f2p/lite gets access to has zero ports. And instead of it just being sold in Aeolus, have it sold in Tunguska as well. Require trade 4 and high admired standing to purchase. Call it the Mk1 Light Moth. The Mk2(Aeolus) will be the one with ports and will be full subbed only.
Similar suggestions:
use the Lt Moth as a beginer trader/miner 2012

Float's suggestion is sound, i think. Its not a grind to achieve, nor is it as capable as the standard moth, but makes sense being accessed easily and with that setup.
+1 to We all float's idea
Honestly you got me there, I forgot light moth even exists. But that would probably be more balanced.
bhm is easy to get. go get it.
The tung maud has 60 cargo, and two large ports and a small port, making it as good at mining as a taur.
This is the ship you should use to get the BHM.
