Toggle for VR Control with Head
In Oculus Go / Gear it would be fantastic if we could toggle the steering with your head.
In combat its great steering with your head and using the gamepad to fine tune. But if I'm not in combat I like to be able to look around as normal when using the pad.
I though toggling mouselook might have worked but it says its disabled in VR, so in theory you could use that ?

It is a good idea but the only problem I see is the toggle with the current setup could not be a simple on/off, unless they add multiple commands. The current menu setup is Off/Look to fly - hud /Look to fly - hud fixed/ look to aim... etc etc so the toggle may have to move through all modes on a single command.
Sure it can be done, and it still would be quicker than going into the menu each time to turn it off/on, would also help with the controller disconnect/reconnect scenario.

Yeah, we would probably need to let people configure multiple control modes, and then bind that to a button to switch between them.
It is an interesting idea though. We'll think about it, next time we look at related functionality.

Thanks for considering this, it will make a huge difference. I was surprised how well steering works using your head in conjunction with a gamepad, but currently we lose the ability to just look around when in that mode. Although you can kind of make it happen by pressing boost. Again thanks for taking a look.
