NPC Rat expansion
Create rat stronghold at sedina H-5 (or some new station somewhere) in a ongoing state of being under siege by 5 Corvus-factioned capellas firing avalons constantly at the station destroying the constantly undocking pirate defense forces. Firing should be offset so it is impossible to dock.
If the capellas are destroyed by external forces (i.e. players), then pirates issue forth from Sedina H-5 in alarming large quantities and expand the quantity and distance of their patrols throughout all of greyspace wormhole sectors for a period of 4 hours (ukari to edras). Turrets also issue from Sedina H5 (2x the amount that protect conq stations, with double armor).
Players with 100% hate in all factions get docking priviliges (but still can be fired upon by the rats and turrets) in Sedina H-5. In that station, specially modified UDV Raptors are available for a sizeable purchase with 2x built in (non-removable) Ultra-megaposis. These have 10% more damage and 10% higher speed than normal megaposis.
Also, a special mission is available that allows you to pledge your allegiance to the pirate forces. Joining/completing mission removes any allegiance to serco or itani militaries and creates a stat tracker on character info that henceforth commences tracking kill shots on Corvus Anti-pirate Capellas. Once total kill shots reaches 10, npc pirates permanently see you as non-hostile as long as you maintain Tri-KOS with major factions. This achievement earns a pirate badge. This stat tracker (/badge/faction standing with pirates) is removed if you re-join itani or serco military.
Destruction of Corvus anti-pirate Cappelas yield occasional capship part drops.
Destruction of turrets in Sedina H-5 initiates return of fresh Capella force and withdraws additional pirate force from greyspace. All these ships eventually return to Sedina H-5 and are destroyed in the ensuing avalon onslaught.

Looks like a nice perk for the rats...
And this benefits VO how? As a long time player Im sure you know the devs are not all that keen on ideas that favor or single out one group over the others. Wheres the balance to this?

It benefits VO by giving us something more interesting and dynamic to do in regards to greyspace. You can keep the pirates at bay by protecting the corvus ships. And if they get destroyed they become another source of capship parts.
Just realized some anti-capship properties should be in place on the capellas, otherwise they will be too easily taken out by Wash and his five clients.

-1. I see player pirates grouping up to take out the capellas and then basically being unstoppable with their fucking unrat army. If this was to be implemented, Corvus needs to launch a counter fighter assault to match the unrat force, and anyone aligned with the unrats must be Corvus KOS.
Also, how does a flood of never ending pirates constantly flow out of a tiny little space station? Do they have a cloning vat? Did they develop teleportation?

I thouhgt that was just last year, Dr. Lecter. Had he mentioned it before then?
not a dissimilar idea, but it was lacking any detail in regards to integration into gameplay. Simply having a "station" with "stuff" is not enough. Hence my suggestion providing means of access, and interesting ways to control that access and consequences of that access.

Btw. H5 is a race track I believe. Turning a public area into a rat infested back alley is a non starter.

I'm sure they plan on expanding the unrats role in the verse.
As of now it's pretty cool and what not.
Some interesting ideas here, may even seem excessive but
