New Addon: Remote Detonater

An addon that let's you explode your own as well as enemy mines, guided missiles and flares in a certain radius around you using radio waves.

Available at all Corvus stations with +600 standing.

Why not suggest it explode ammunition stored in the opponent ship : free kill!

@DeathSpores That was meant for remote detonating avs and mines primarily. And it wouldn't be very good against flares because of the energy cost and the 2s delay. I figured that just because I posted it people like you would say something like that because it's the author and not the idea that matters...

Also this could be the answer to another post about remote detonating mines.

It makes sense to me that something like this would be "illegal" in nation space and that's why I think only Corvus should sell them. Also SWAPMEET may sell them or you can just store them there.

This Addon wasn't even meant for countering flares in the first place but to remove only the enemy flares from this addon just because a few people saw who the author is and think I just want an easy way to counter flares is stupid. Also if you think about this, it's not even really good against flares. Using flares for yourself has better results than this.

Well, I wouldn't think that mines or torpedos would be able to be remotely detonated, even if hacked, if they were designed as fire-and-forget weapons - this would only make sense if they were already triggerable. What makes more sense is an activated device that overloaded these weapons, shooting them down - and since I dislike the idea of insta-hit no aim tech, it would just be better if rockets and missiles and the like could be destroyed with enough damage like mines already are.

If this only affected missiles I'd partially be okay with it, but the quasi-shielding nature of this means it should really just not exist to me.

should only effect concussion and lighting mines in my view.

No one has seemed to mention a capital ship capable of detonating a deshield stack. Which in my opinion would make it so much more difficult to kill. Capships would make it so /+shoot2 could infinitely do this every 2s while they fly. Which in my opinion would make capital fights and ambushes on capships so boring.

then drop it middle of a fighter vs fighter fight, we don't all fly a capital ship 24/7. but hey, capital minesweeper.

It also says GUIDED MISSILES ss. Your still not seeing the point. Every 2 seconds it would detonate swarms near it and it would be near impossible to kill
