Hello VO pilots, traders, pirates, miners, basically everyone in the galaxy!
Currently, the Offline Training Simulator is severely limited. I suggest adding the ability to "jump" to different sectors and locations offline. Also, since it is called "Offline Training Simulator", a mission builder should be added. Players could select the category of bot (Collector, Assault, Guardian), the type of bot within those categories, the amount of them, the sector they will be located in, and the system they will be located in. This would enable players to practice their combat skills offline while traveling. In addition, this would help players hone their combat skills. By having all of the bot types in each category, players new and old could improve their combat skills by selecting proggresivally tougher bots to practice against.

This is Vendetta "Online" and if you can do stuff like this in the singleplayer some people will just stay there and not play the real game because they ae afraid to get killed by a player and need a safe space.
True, but there is an offline mode of play (at least on the Android version), so it should be useful. I merely suggest giving the "Offline Training Simulator" a reason to be called "Training". Also, this would give players a chance to play the game while traveling, in the case they don't have access to Internet/WiFi.
Also, I suggested this only because the main game would still be more appealing for most situations.
A limited environment such as a single system would allow newb pilots a chance to jump around some
I mean a system like Edras with a single station or smaller.

What do you mean PaKettle? Can you clarify what you are trying to say?
Oh, and Heini, players could practice against the bots, and eventually they are going to get comfortable fighting other players. There, argument debunked.
They can already fight bots the normal way and I don't think it would be a good idea to have even fewer people play the actual game.
I think this sounds wonderful. The bots won't contribute to any xp gains, and you could have a time limit after which it forces you to either go online or quit. The limit could only exist for f2p or lite?
+1 to Arykos experience. This way it could be used for training but won't br abused as a way to avoid playing online. The time limit should only be for f2p and lite.
Having no xp gain will cause it not to be abused, but having a time limit will be bad in the long run, especially for new players that need to train consistently.
Does anyone else have any other good ideas or preventative abusion methods for this feature? If we get a collection maybe we could forward this to the developers.
The issue is people might abuse it, but that really isn't a bad thing in the long run. Since it can't aid progression directly, people will keep going back to the main game too.

the best method is training is against other actual pilots, and the best way to enjoy an MMO is online.
What players do offline can never be abuse as nothing is recorded nor can a player earn xp.
@PaKettle
Abuse for this would be playing the offline game and never coming to the real game. We already lack players and don't really need to decrease that number any more.

That does not count as abuse and I consider solo play perfectly legit...
There are plenty of free alternatives availible and those that play in this manner are not the type to buy a subscription anyway. (imho) I just dont see this as a loss of revenue for Guild software. There are those who will play offline for a while and then later on decide to join the rest of us once the vo crack addiction kicks in...
All of this is Guild softwares business and none of our concern at any rate.

So, are you saying suggesting this is pointless? I always try to suggest things that benifit the game.
If you wanna play solo in Vendetta Online, there are more than enough sectors to believe so. /leave [channel number] is also useful here. the only times your really ever forced to meet people are when pirates begin blockading a wormhole you want to travel through, but if your leaving your nations capitol then its time to start at least becoming aware of others.
Is there ANYONE who likes my idea? If you do, please explain why.
I like it in concept. I've been places where I temporarily have no internet (sometimes when I travel abroad, let's say) and I have tinkered with the Offline Simulator.
I'm not sure about the specifics you suggest; I personally think 1 sector is sufficient. However, I feel there ought to be a few more things to do in this sector.
Having some more difficult enemies appear from time to time would be a start.

It would be kind of cool if they added some of the race tubes to the offline part of the game. So if i'm someplace without internet, i could practice tube racing and what not.
Here is the thing, even if everyone in a thread disliked your idea, it doesn't matter. The devs still read these forums. So don't be hurt by a bunch of -1's. If the idea is good, and it fits into Incarnate's vision for the game, he will implement it. Even if he doesn't reply to the thread.
