numeric stick calibration
numeric entry for dead zone and saturation included in gui would be a plus for mobile users if not the entire user base.
It would be a positive for everyone, except its not really that simple to do. Incarnate has touched upon this numerous times, especially with how greatly differing even the same manufacturer's joysticks can be. He wants to make a way someone can edit the individual sensitivity curves of a joystick.
uh i don't see how varying specs has any bearing on entering a number between 0% and 100%. adjusting axial curves won't address the issue that is of concern here.
the slider is simply too difficult to use when you can't seem to "put a finger on it". numeric entry wouldn't be the only possible fix - fatten up the slider or make it adjustable with the d-pad are 2 solutions that come to mind.

To clarify, he doesn't want new controls. He just wants number boxes he can use to set the values used by the existing controls, since typing is more precise than dragging a slider around, especially on touch-screens.

yes and these boxes would be accessible only in the calibration interface. 4 for each axis... 2 per deadzone (-/+) and 2 per saturation (-/+).
that's a thing of beauty thank you very much that'll do nicely thank you.
