Modify accell amd decell commands to work with turbo and brakes
Please modify or create an accelerate command that accelerates as normal but when full speed is reached and the button or axis continues to be held for 3 seconds more engages the turbo as well until released. The decelerate would act in a similar fashion applying the brakes after 3 seconds.
This would effectively combine the two commands and free up a pair of controls for other uses which would be very useful to d pad users.

Can't you do that with short press and long press on DB?
oh yeah... I just never use that portion of DB myself [mainly since I rarely fly mobile anymore]...
You can kind of do this with the multiclick settings under keyboard > multiclick too. DB doesn't do much in VR though.
Have you played with multiclick (it is not a plugin, but there in options)? You can assign like 4 commands to every button you have. For example, if I "tap" dpad up, it targets next in front, if I double tap dpad up it hails target, and if I triple press dpad up it triggers /resetovr - oh and a long press of dpad up brings up the sector list.
It is not entirely obvious how to use, so basically if you go to Options > Controls > Keyboard > Multiclick settings (at the bottom) and in the new window click "new set", press the button you would like to assign as a multi click button and accept the prompt that it is already bound to something else. Then you have 5 options. Press and Single click are hard to differentiate from, so I usually set this to the same thing (what the button was bound to before is a good idea) then you can see the other options long press/double tap/triple tap and can use the drop down to set them to the usual command(s) or you can use the custom button to bind to anything that isn't in the list, or to a plugin command. I think it is also possihble to setup "chord" style options by adding more buttons to the set, but I have not used this option, as this one simple menu extends my dpad to 16 actions, freeing up other buttons for turbo et al.

Sadly multiclick doesn't work for analog buttons ie axis...only buttons
for multiclick - you can define the "tap" duration by editing the config file - this effecting tap/double tap/triple tap. "holddelay" is also definable thru the config file. "press" is a static value.
that's beside the point, being that the functionality desired can almost be achieved using multiclick for all platforms as well as droid buttons for mobile platforms... still not a single press & hold tho.
without thinking it thru I'd say the accel->turbo and decel->stop functions can be implemented as a pair of aliased commands but like i said i haven't thought this thru to a functional end. can timers and pauses be written into aliases? would it be relatively easy to code as a plugin?
lastly - the plugin "analog 2 digital" allows for assigning button commands to analog inputs.
