Velocity Vector
A velocity vector on the HUD marker would be really cool. All modern aircraft have this on their instruments, and since VO is so markedly 3-dimensional, it'd be a great asset. It would behave similarly to the ship attitude indicator present in mouselook mode, except it would point in the direction of the ship's net 3d velocity.

Velocity is speed and direction. The display already has a speed indicator. The missing component of what you are asking for is a direction indicator.
Two options for the placement of this indicator are:
a) on the radar. (because we have radar displays for forward and back.)
b) on the main screen (like mouselook), with an inverse representation for when the indicator is behind you. (it shows the forward and reverse poles of velocity, so that at least one pole is always on screen, and you can visually identify which pole you are seeing.)

+1. We already have a coarse version of this in the form of space junk, but a proper indictor would provide better precision. Could be handy for lining up a heavy moth with the dock at high speed, for example.
+1, definitely useful, especially for pilots using f/a off a lot.
Note that we implemented this, as a non-default option, on August 17th.
Yes, and it is fantastic. Thank you!
Much appreciated, Incarnate! Makes a lot of things easier, but especially docking a heavily laden Behemoth!
thanks for sharing!
