Unshielded ships with less than 20% armor should not time out while being shot at.
Make it so ships with no shields , that are being shot at, won't time out after 5 minutes. Give the ship another 1 from the point of last hit before it times out.

Shouldnt it be that ships [at any armor or shielding level] that get shot at have their timeout timer reset?
+1 to a timer reset (5 minutes from last player-induced damage)
-1 to no timeouts for damaged ships

I don't have a problem with this either, but I agree it should be generic to all player-ships, not based on whether the ship has shields or a specific level of damage.
Tempkos should not drop either. If someone logs off tkos under fire especially with a capship the sf should continue shooting it
This really needs to happen. Two days in a row capships combat logging to survive and timing out
I agree here. I think that the arrangementshould be that the behaviour of the five minute timer should be changed.
Make it so the timer does not exist, generally, if you fly quietly to an empty sector, and log off, then your ship would disappear immediately, however, if your ship has been recently attacked (lets say if its been attacked in the last 15 minutes) then any logging off would result in the usual five minute timer, but with the differenceof its being resetto a full five minutes with each landed shot from any source (weapons fire, not collisions hehe)
