Make capital turrets 100% drop rate
That way there is loot after we blow each others capships up.

Turrets don't amount to much so why bother?

To you, but to other people a couple of million is a lot.

I wouldnt say 100%. Maybe 10%, assuming the turret is still alive when the ship is destroyed (post hull explosion damage)? I dunno if I even like the idea though...

"a couple of million" is easily achievable with certain trading routes in just ONE round. Which is a LOT less effort than whittling away at a Trident for a while.
If tridents dropped 5 turrets at a time, that would make a bit more sense.

They would be dropping 4, and killing a trident takes less than 60 seconds faster and more profit than any 1 jump.
I'm not opposed to it. But i dont really see how it makes the game immersive... How would a turret survive a capital ship explosion? It contains reactors and nuclear stuff. When that explodes how would it NOT destroy a turret? I say make the drop rate 50% if anything. That is more like it.
Unless this can be limited to player capships, it will severly imbalance the game.
Deneb has a lot of capships exploding, if NPC capships dropped all their Capital Gauss turrets everytime, I'd easily earn a humongous amount of credits. Same applies for NPC capella, trident or Goliath convoys.

+1 for all equipment to drop, including power cell, at the same rate that player and npc ships normally drop weapons and equipment now.
