Mouselook for Gamepads
I know I know, "Mouse"look but hear me out. I know this has been suggested before, but is there anyway to implement the same reticle lead mechanic to game pads?
Bind them.

That doesn't enable mouselook. Mouselook allows free movement of the camera, and the ship moves after it. Makes it much easier to flare and follow the reticle, at least for me. Without mouselook I feel constrained to the center front of the ship, which makes sense, but mouselook has the advantage of being able to look around while turboing and "fling" flares.

Humm. Yes, it's possible. It might require some testing and iteration to implement. And it'd probably have to be some kind of specialty mode that could be enabled or bound or something, as I don't think it'd be good as a default. I'll think about it..
Great! I really liked seeing the improvements to the gamepad stick input options. Just something to add to the list of possible improvements.
