Trading would be easier (especially at N-2) if we could filter commodities shown with some kind of textinput. Just a small UI addition, can't think of any downsides

Theres no point. Go to options -> interface and change the sort by Group->Name->Price (thats what i usually do, pick what you want). Then its alphabetically sorted and you have no issues finding things.
