Make jumps great again
Instead of every jump doing a full drain, non-wormhole jumps should only cost 25%.
So if you're 100%, and do a non-wormhole jump you should enter the sector with 75%

Tactical advantage of course, you're a lot better off getting into a new sector with 75% power, instead of 0%.
The same buff in power will be provided to the people chasing the people running, maybe get better at chasing.

Fully draining the battery seems like a fair cost for jumping. Maybe some addon on to boost energy stores after jumps would be worthwhile, but flat out giving everyone extra juice when they jump in will just make running far easier than it already is. Many updates have been implemented to reduce people's ability to escape; I don't see a move in the opposite direction as helpful to gameplay overall.

Makes sense yes, but so does being able to turbo without stopping in space. Artificial limits balance the game.
