Easily exploited. You two agree to an amount say, 10m. You make the stake. He purposefully makes his stake after yours, staking a much lower amount. Now you're stuck in it until one of you dies.

MI5 didnt say that, but if thats what he meant, then +1. I guess if the stake is unequal then it just looks like a seperate challenge to the other pilot?
he said "like a duel", which implies the proposed command would initiate an accept/reject query to the target. I.e. if the target does not agree to any part of the challenge it can be rejected the same way a duel can be rejected.

Mi5 said no such thing. He didn't flesh out the details, which is what my post is for - to help foresee possible pitfalls to improve the functionality before it's implemented.
I'm not convinced it's a serious suggestion anyhow.
