There's currently two, the default and the platinum. I think one that would become popular if it were added is a black or really dark one. Programmers have figured out that staring at a bright screen for too long is a strain on the eyes. I'm thinking it'll also be the case that many will think it looks cool too.

+1 to blackhole skin -- no reflection, completely black. Maybe we can call it the VOID skin. /me ducks

Or just add a skindirectory="path" in config.ini and populate the skin selection menu with any folders in that path. then someone can create a skin themselves, cause thats been a thing for quite some time. or dont even make the path configurable, just have a <vo>/skins/<scan here for skin folders>.

while you guys design cool skins, so does the community, and since this is allready open, why not push for it?

I'm well aware of custom skins and have been using a dark skin for a while now. That's not what this suggestion is about. It is a suggestion to add this as an option to the current UI skin selection list. There is already a drop down with only two options, so it looks like they plan on expanding that anyways. Figured I'd throw this out as being the next UI skin option.

Also, I'm not suggesting that the custom way needs to be removed, but there will be many pilots that will never touch custom skins, but would love a black or dark option. And because of this, the argument that there is already a way to create this is moot.
