Remove crystals on specific combat ships and weapons for long term lite subscribers.
Futher incentives to buy lite. It could be unlocked of the player has bought lite for lets say... six months or bought two three month packages. I would be happy enough to see crystals removed from some vultures or even maybe the hog! Anyway just throwing it in here.

Why not buy a premium subscription at that point?

Posting a new thread every other month isn't going to make it more likely.

Get an Ec-107 if you want crystal free ships, or buy lite and kill a few dozen bots every day without dying for a month. Get some badges, earn some more. Should build you up enough crystals to last a while, unless you totally suck of course, but I guess that is for another thread.

yoda, this is a different suggestion [to him] because it only affects the lower-teir ships.
Personally, i think the old light way was better - no crystals, but still gotta live with that pesky 4/4/4/4/4 limit.
Maybe it would be sensible to increase one or two ships levels to readjust whats available. For example, a ragmk3 could need a lvl5 somewhere, but keep the mk1 at under 4/4/4/4/4 - make it so the lite subscribers can be active but not as well equipped by far.
Even if it is only 99cents or something, the lite sub is still a paid subscription, and the crystals limit seems appropriate for free to play but not for even the lowest paid sub. I mean, lite still cant access the x1, udv, or prom, at all, or any capships. Also, many weapons.., isnt that limit enough?

How about remove crystals for lite and push up the price to $3 bucks a month?
Also, something I noticed: some of our newbs are vehemently against the idea of subscribing to Vendetta Online - those same newbs i've had conversations with having bouht gold to pay for premium account status in WoTB. Maybe its not the cost of a subscription but the name of it itself - a "subscription".
While it has not too much to do with the topic, how about we start calling the 1-month non-sub option something else? Start pushing pilots to that instead, and afterwards tell them that they could auto-renew with the monthly? All without calling it an actual subscription?

1-month: Lunar Package
3-month: Mercurial Package
6-month: Venusian Package
12-month: Terran Package
24-month: The Watney

Even if unofficial I will start using these terms from now on. I agree with the idea that its all about how its marketed. Speaking for myself, I'd rather buy packages than subscribe to something.
Dis font is horrid man! It hurts my head to think anyone would actually use it outside of a UI!
But back on topic. Lite always had crystals, the only difference there ever was was F2P started as 3/3/3/3/3 cap and lite started as 4/4/4/4/4. I'm one of the people who actually thinks upping the lite level limit to 5/5/5/5/5, and making ships/addons that require these levels cost a LOT of Crystal (like, 20 for a corvus maud) has some merit, but crystals certainly should not be removed.
