Greyhound Maneuverability
Since the Greyhound is now 2 small ports and the armor is relatively low, how about boosting it's ability to maneuver a bit? Being able to dodge a little better seems fair if the armor and large port aren't coming back.
-1 nope.. hound is well balanced now
-1 agreed with greenwall, hound is fine as is, and if flown well can actually put up a bit of a good fight for an interceptor.
Hound is fantastic chaser, not really meant to be good at PVP.
if you want a hog that can dance get a WTD if you want to run someone down and still be able to shoot them use a hound
but.. but... I wanna do both... :)
Actually, I just like to be able to dodge a bit better when in a hound. Not necessarily as nimble as a corvult, but a little bit of added strafe would be nice. You would think a ship with less weight from the low armor might be able to scoot left and right a bit quicker.

I'd like a BHM2 with 4 HD beams but it aint gonna happen the hound is balanced just right
+1 this thing has been beat with a nerf stick alot it needs a small boost
-1 same opinion as spence
If every ship is made into "the best-est", then there are no tradeoffs between having different ships.
Tradeoffs, in general, are more interesting.

So no spinners & fuzzy dice for my valks then......

atm greyhound is only good for chasing down first day noobs in their ec-89s. Everything else can easily fight back with an advantage in dogfighting abilities. So yeah, it needs a bit of buff.

In the right hands greyhounds can be adequately capable, just like the UDV. It takes a lot of familiarity with the ship and how it fares against particular opposition.
I would support making a greyhound variant that has better strafing thrust in exchange for no addon ports.

Joyless, anyone else in a fighter can fight back against pilots trying to use a hound as a dog-fighting boat that they can run away in when things get tough. The hound is very well balanced as it is now. It is not meant to be a dog-fighting boat, it's an interceptor. It works perfectly fine for its intended purpose (running down trade vessels and catching other fleeing ships), it just loses out when faced with a ship that is intended to be a fighter. Assuming that fighter has a competent pilot at the controls.

The hound used to be combat speed 65, like most other combat ships. It rocked, and I killed proms and valks, etc. The day they changed it, I didn't notice until I started getting wasted in combat by centaurs and stuff. The hound is far too powerful as a runner/chaser, too also be good at dogfighting.
Try a hog2. The hog2 does not accelerate as fast, and is 5m/s slower turbo, which is still really fast, it has a large port (great for megaposi), and it does still have 65m/s combat speed. The hog2 has always been and still is a strong chase/dog fighter ship.
The serco SVG vult, uit UDV, and itani Valk, are all great dogfighters, and very fast. Anyone with serco standing +600 can get a serco svg.
Honorable mention to the vult3, the "standard" interceptor/dog-fighter.

How about turning down the thrust.
