Buff Goliath shields
I find it wierd that the goliath shield regeneration rate is the same as a large capship ( constellations, HACs, Leviathans).
The ship is only 1/3 the size of a trident, lighter than the dent has one less engine than the dent. It also uses the same exact reactor that the dent uses.
So why is its shield regen the same as other capships despite having the same power generating source as a trident? Shouldn't the larger reactor put more power into the ship. It would make sense that the extra power being made can go into the shield genetator and make it charge faster.
If you can make the shield recharge a little better it would be more worth it to build. Or alteast make a seperate reactor for the goliath so that it can make sense.

I really don't care what "makes sense" in some vague pseudo-scientific interpretation of technology from thousands of years in the future. There are a great many reasons that could explain the current situation, if you want to go into the weeds of applying existing physics analogs to purely fictional futuristic concepts.. but why bother.
If you have some coherent gameplay reason why the Goliath shields should be buffed, I'm open to that. But at the moment, I think it's fine. The relevance of shielded ships is intended to increase over time.

-1 i think the behaviour of the goli shield is perfect - its not easy to overcome, but easier than a dent - and the goli is more combat capable already. It could be argued, scifi wise, that whilst the reactor creating the energy is the same as a trident, and therefore offers the same regen rates, the smaller ship would have a smaller capacitance available to it in any sense counting for a smaller overall shield health.
The goli/dent shield balance is great as is, just where they both should be if you ask me.

No.. this forum is a place where players may make relevant Suggestions that are clearly to the benefit of the game as a whole. This is not the forum of "Incarnate wastes a lot of time ret-conning justifications for existing gameplay". That would be a total waste of developer resources.
Suggestions Forum entries need to stand on their own merits, as beneficial modifications to gameplay. Justifications based purely on story-context are not considered relevant.
