Destructible turrets on player piloted capital ships
Now that we have some truly powerful capital turrets (cap ships can deshield each other rather easily), turrets on piloted capital ships need to be destructible. This has been suggested in the past, but now, more than ever, it needs to be implemented. I don't know how hard it will be to do, and I know it will be kind of a drag, because it is not a "new" content/asset but It will help game play imho.
Seems fair. Since npc capship turrets can be knocked out, I don't see it being too difficult to make it so for player capships. Should only be destroy-able once shields are down, and should require docking/repair at capitol station (no repair guns for turrets that are destroyed, but maybe allow repair partially-damaged turrets?).
This is definitely needed. Unfortunately, it may be a bit involved to do. I'll have to talk to Ray about it.
* i would prefer if reps could fix them, if people have to go dock every time a turret dies they'll just leave their ships home again
