You follow me into every thread and slander me(along with the rest of the political party/ideology you side with in game), and then accuse me of picking a fight. Too rich.

Can we please talk about the subject at hand, the Badger Capship

Mi5, we all want the Devs to complete the assets they are working on, but throwing new ideas out there on a suggestions forum (the Hopes and Dreams forum) is not counter productive; instead It is reflection of the dreams of us the players.

Could you instead tell us why you don't like the ship stats and how you would improve on them?

Sure that's easy, the suggestion is based around the incorrect assumption that capital ships are only used for trading. Capital ships are a MASSIVE part of the puzzle that is player combat and otherwise required for farming and grinding. That is what gives them so much value.

All I see is a slow vulnerable target that for a purpose built "escort" capital ship it has less armor than what it is defending, and no shield. That can't even be used for the one thing it's supposed to be used for, combat. There is no dock, and having turrets/weapons prebuilt into the capital ship only limit it more.

Trident Type M's can already walk away with a large variable of safety from nearly any threat by simply jumping away, so to escort "large convoys" of escort missions or player XC's that would mean that you expect the above ship to kill a pirate before it kills the person you're defending, which is a laughable bet at most.

Capital ships take a lot of effort, time, and thought to design, and implement. We need them to curb inflation as well, for the stated reasons above alone this ship has no value to manufacture when the parts could be used for something that can be adapted to many more tasks. I don't see 700m or anywhere near that value.

This is a suggestion for a Medium Cap Cell as well, which has it's own problems(25% jumps taking 100%, etc) but that should be left to its own thread.

If you want to optimize capital ship interactions perhaps it's time to actually polish the existing two player owned capital ships, the obscenely broken turrets are a good place to start.

The specs given make the Badger faster than a Goliath and Trident. So that means it is not slow (for a capship).

-Purpose to cost far too low.
-Gatturets are shit.
-We have turretbots already.
-A cap ship with neither a docking bay nor shields? More like a moth -that sat in a TPG freightyard and was tinkered with too long.
-Medium power cell with changed stats is just a flashy piece of code without an energy consuming primary weapon. Excepting while being PCBd.
-A noob with a PCB and 2 furies could kill this with armour that low and a lack of any shielding. Hell a uncoordinated fighter barrage could kill this quickly.
-Ideas:
-Make it like a furies sort of thing (it follows you when you want it to so now it's more of an escort and helps a bit in furball.)
-Idea to add functionality: rebuild requires 4 turrets of whatever you want it to be and 2 missile turrets of whatever you want those to be
And turrets are permanent until next rebuild. 500k c as always to rebuild.
-grid power 50- 100 so no abuse of capgauss and swarmturrets lol
-And finally reduce the manu requirements to about half or less with maybe a slight further nerf to durability.

Without these it's -1. Add a few or post your own ideas on viable improvements and then I may + 1

*cost is to low* no its not, it should be how it is, if its role as a support convoy then it should not need a docking bay because the pilot should stay flying in the ship for an advantage, the guardian cores are good for it because it will act like a "guardian" to a convoy, you kinda need to add the turrets for it to be useful ya know.

*Gatturets are sh*t.* Gatling cannons mk2 are not sh*t and turrets are way better, hell why don't we add capital Gatling turrets again make them even more useful-er then just like the NPC heavy miner moth mk2 escorts ships.

Excepting while being PCBd.* well sh*t sorry there clank forgot you were a game maker ya know what flashy piece of code are. its a capship for damn sake clank have you ever seen a capship lose energy when they fire their main guns or even turrets? no they don't maybe go on that PCC for once like you say that you are apart of and go fly a Goliath and a dent and fire all of their guns, maybe also use your turret bot for the turrets. nothing is immune to PCB clank, a escort Capella is good as gone if its PCB and his friends going to Avalon it.

Hell a uncoordinated fighter barrage could kill this quickly.* please show me where this a thing, I know VO has some bad noobs but come on, you are not a noobs if you know what PCB is nor what furies are, that's common sense, or at least I hope so lol. ya no shields hooray no need to bomb its shields off you don't need furies when something has zero shields, if it has armor anything damageable can hurt it, even a levi against training neutrons would get hurt if it had no shield counting the person doesn't get rekt but the levi fire or the bots, also how long would that take? ya know for vo science, also again if it has armor and no shield it can be killed, you can just say some noob warped into a player with this ship and could kill it right away un-prepared or anything, that wont happen the pilot would kill the attacker easy.

*-And finally reduce the manu requirements to about half or less with maybe a slight further nerf to durability.* "sh*t ok forget the main parts boys we going to forgot the engine and the main parts to support this whole ships and its crew", i hope you read the manufacturing needed for the Goliath because Goliath needs a lot of stuff if we were going to realistically keep it going and the crew alive, because if you cut that in half or even less then might as well call it titanic, also no you need that armor its support it makes up it lose of shields.

In the Goliath inventory blurb it states that it is the smallest ship with both energy shielding and a docking bay. Ergo, anything smaller than a Goliath would lack these things. Dread is keeping with the role play.

1. I said in this sentence that its TOO expensive not too cheap.
2. Yes. Gatturets are shit. At least for a Capitol ship to use with heavier guns available. Also I'm not 100% sure I'll check later but scan a terradon in Deneb with your fancy ass UDV and say we don't have Capitol gats

Clearly even when it is written in the afternoon you have no concept of how the game works. This would be the most fun ship in the universe if it was made, provided you had a clue how the game actually works.
