For a long time, the biovult has been one of the lesser used vulture variant, eventhough for it being one of the three elite vulture variants (the other being the SVG and the corvult).

In stats comparison, the biovult is totally wrecked by the SVG in every aspect. While only having an advantage of turbo thrust and turbo energy when compared to the corvult (but, the biovult is still 100kg heavier).

I felt like the biovult needs some buffs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I recall corectly, shouldn't the "XT" in its name means "Extended Turbo"?

If that's the case, maybe the biovult needs the turbo energy to be reduced to around 50-55 (50 might be too much due to infiniboosting). For now, this is one of the buff which I think the biovult would need the most. Other minor buff is good too, maybe...

On the other hand, the faction standing requirement to get the biovult after the buff could also be increased from 450 to around 600-800. I don't see any problem with increasing the standing requirement.

That will also do, currently the biovult also has less thrust than both the SVG and corvult (it still has better turbo thrust than the corvult though)

The XT use to have the highest thrust of any vult, the SVG was only recently (relatively) buffed cause the serco complained they didn't have a valk :p

While I agree the XT is now obsolete biocom is serco-aligned/related, maybe the Itani should get a new ship before the serco get more?

I mean, the UIT got the UDV raptor (valk-alike), the serco got a massive buff to the SVG (valk-alike), but the Itani got NOTHING! Now that serco have a valk-alike maybe itani should get a prom-alike?

How is a Rptor "valk-alike"? The UDV doesn't have the maneuverability or acceleration of the X-1 as a trdae off it has sensors and 2 large ports.

integrated scanners = small ports... UDV is equivelent of a valk with 2 extra L-ports.

On maneuverability, with 2x mega posi that thing is damned maneuverable, empty valk/UDV are equivalent in maneuverability I would say. vo-wiki lists the thrusts, udv/valk have identical combat thrust, and UDV has massively more turbo thrust...

Give me a rune with integrated scanners and I would use it over the X-1 most of the time. An x-1 with loaded scanners equivalent to UDV has 0 left over ports :p

Cool, convince INC to give the UDV to Itan and UIT will take the X-1. I would perfectly happy with that trade.

UDV is flare bait. And there is only one UDV(Nation Specific Raptor). There 5 versions of the Valkyrie, and four versions of the Prometheus. As Dread says, if you wish to trade the line of valks for the UDV, i'm sure most UIT players won't mind a bit. I suggest starting a suggestions thread for that.

Anyhow, suggesting that you would trade the UDV for the valk is preposterous! The UIT were never supposed to be on-par with the Serco/Itani (not my words, I could reference where inc said this exact thing, and then went and gave them a 2L-port chaser anywas).

I've been away for many years till recently...
before I stopped playing:
1. the Itani had the valk
2. the serco had the prom
3. the UIT had no specific ship (except maybe the WTD which was easy for itani/serco to get anyhow), however the UIT did have nearby access to many more ship types and variants then either serco or itani.

Since I've been back, the serco got a valk-alike and the UIT got a valk-alike... that's not to say they are exact valks, but they certainly do mimic many aspects of the valk... the itani got nothing! five years, and everyone except itani gets something shiny....

The Itani use to have a very unique advantage... they had the fastest ship, the serco had the most fortified ship... now everyone has "the fastest" ship variant... There is no longer an advantage (proportional advantage that is) to choosing blue, but there IS still an advantage of choosing red (get the SVG and the PROM)...

Maybe I should have restated... since everyone has a valk/valk-alike now, how about we get a heavy assault ship (aka prom-like) and give it to both the Itani AND UIT... in all fairness :p

That all said, my original intent was to make an angry mock/sarcasm post.. I don't think we should get a prom-like... I just think the SVG/UDV have been heavily OP'd given they should have never been comparable to the chasing speed of the valk....

The biocom vult XT was the highest-thrust version, and the SVG should never have been OP'd to make it obsolete... now we going to OP the XT just so it's better then the SVG? merry-go-round...

not even mentioning the greyhound which has a turbo-thrust that's so OP that I can only assume Lector paid the devs (or threatened to sue them perhaps) to make it so....

honestly, just because its made to be a subfaction's elite ship doesnt mean it should be the best - tbh, maybe Biocom just isnt as great at making ships as they are at Bio-engineering.

I read the damn thing years before you were aware of the game... maybe you should look up the definition of sarcasm and re-evaluate your life? The serco/uit were never supposed to get a valk-like ship, just like the itani/uit should NOT get a prom like ship....

If you're gonna be referencing the backstory, the serco should have stealth and the itani should have shields... yet no one has stealth, everyone has shields, and the valk/prom have nothing to do with the backstory.

If memory servers me correctly the fastest ship in the game was the WTD @ 250mps. So your argument of valk like is a joke even with sarcasm.

Besides i am tri KOS and i can shoot most of valk or prom jokes using a cormaud or a revenant mk III and i aint the brightest pvper.
