Move Verasi O7 station closer to WH

Apr 30, 2017 myacumen link
The station in Verasi O7 is to far from the WH. KOS players are able to enter Verasi and jump to an empty sector before the strike force can get to them. Also it is a heck of a long way to go when you jump into the sector to get to the station, Latos M7 is closer to jump in points than Verasi O7.

- a lot

its actually nice that some stations require a bit of travel to get to, plus the KOS players have a lot more to worry about than the strike forces (which are easy to evade anyway). The turrets right on top of the wormhole kind of balance that out.

+++++++++++ 1 Billion mi5 credits.

It's also way to easy to enter enemy space. In a greyhound the turrets cant even hit you! You should be instantly killed. Training sector turrets should be moved to the edges of nation space to keep things even. Also when you become kos in a nation or minor faction you should automatically get shot by the turrets. every station should have laser turrets. Conquerable stations should be available to everyone its not fair some people get them and some don't.. This inst fare. I've got 1 star to give for every year the S&P were supposed to be released.

2 things in this message are true and the first is that mi5 owes me 1 billion credits.

@yoda

Honestly the turrets are easily avoided in ships with high acceleration i.e. GreyHound, X-1, SVG, Atals X or capships. I'm not trying to make it impossible to get in I'd just like to make it a little more difficult than it currently is. I think having strike force chasing you would be a good option as opposed to more turrets like Dau has. Granted you can just jump to one of the other station sectors to avoid them but that at least will limit options as to where you can go if you are KOS.

...are you trying to minimize the choices KOS pilots have? Leave the station where it is.

The only reason O7 is so far from the WH is there used to be a UIT station in Edras B-11. When the B-11 station was removed O7 really should have been moved closer to the WH.

It doesn't matter why it _is_, it is. And in my opinion we need more sectors where a bit of travel is needed, not less.

Utterly false. The turrets in fact start firing as soon as you enter the sector from their perspective - frequently, depending on the random warp-in location's relative distance from the turrets, that means you explode before you even have control of your ship.

You should be instantly killed.

Magic beams are kludgey bullshit that will never have a place outside the training sectors. Ever. Don't like it, either yell at Inc. or (preferably) toddle off to play Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

I don't see the problem.
Also, I think inevitable was being sarcastic.

I'd be happy with a capship dock at the WH with a transit tube to the station :D

-1, I rather enjoy avoiding the sf and turrets to go after my enemy. Being insta-lazer-nuked sounds a bit unreasonable.

Verasi O-7 is like that truck stop on Highway 5, just north of the Grapevine. Yeah, it's inconveniently far away from the exit, but it's your last chance for gas and munchies before you enter the madness of LaLaLand.

SF is an irrelevant factor when it comes to border running. Doesn't matter how close you put the station. The only way they'll ever be a factor is if you're in something slow, in which case the turrets will be killing you anyway. What the SF accomplishes is making it difficult to fight people near the actual station. They could stand to accomplish that better, of course, but moving the station won't impact that.
