Target Tracking Camera

It would seem that if we're going to have some kind of special area that's firewalled off from the rest of the game, with some highly limited and simplified gameplay, then it might as well be trivially accessible from within stations (as, basically a networked game simulator on stations. How meta).
That way there's an easy way for non-participant players to spectate, which I think would be a big part of the value of something like this.
This made me remember something I wanted a bit ago, that would help me record things I was spectating - can we bring it back up?
This post was about a camera setting which doesnt affect your ship, but allows you to track your current target. Figured it would be nicer than manually trying to track things while recording.
