Channel mute command
Add a user command to mute a player from a specific channel.
Use this command to mute players from channel 1 because they are not using it for help, mute them from ctc channels because they are using ctc channels for non ctc chat, or mute intruders from your randomly chosen team channel.

Pointless. If you're going to mute an individual from a channel, you're going to want to mute him from all channels. He'll just go on another channel to bitch and whine.
muting people from channel 1 for not using it properly: YES! +1. There are a handful who spring up occasionally who refuse to go on to channel 100. however, I don't think a "mute" would be the way to put it, rather it should be more like pushing the offending pilot into making channel 100 active. if they rejoin 1 and continue to abuse it, then a /vote mute would be more appropriate.
mute pilots using ctc innapropriately: people do this? well, If said pilots are engaging in CtC, I wouldn't mind them going a little off subject. if they go to the CtC channels just to talk outside of 100, though, there are plenty other channels they can use. I guess just try reminding them, or /ignore. if ignored, they wont bother anyone, where channel 1 has pilots so new they wouldn't know about the commands available to them yet.
muting team channels: err, just form a group and use chat from there. that way, they can only get in if invited. channels can work, but they likely wont invade if you don't tell everyone on 100 where you are talking, and pick an unused channel. -1.

+1 to help-specific muting. A normal mute is fine for somebody who is being outright abusive to newbies or spewing trash, but it feels a bit much for somebody who just refuses to use the appropriate channel for their otherwise acceptable messages.
-1 to forceably changing channels. Being able to do that just seems wrong to me.

+1 to both provided that there a way created for a guild or group to stake a claim to an unassigned channel and give the 'owner(s)' the ability to set permission levels.
-1 to the police state your trying to create
