How is a SPACE BAR one of the least interesting things in this game?!? In most sci-fi, the bar is where the coolest & shadiest stuff goes down. Or at the very least, some good old fashioned illegal gambling

So let's brainstorm some interesting and (ideally) simple suggestions that could make this forgotten "feature" something worth paying attention to. Off the top of my head...

1. Put the chat on the main station screen!!!! No one uses Station Bar because it's almost never worth clicking over to that buried tab/menu. BUT if you put a tiny little chatbox somewhere on the home menu of a station, then anyone in the bar can immediately talk to anyone docking, and anyone docking doesn't have to think "gee I wonder if it's worth clicking the button to go to the feature no one ever uses" to see what's going on in the bar. It could even be read-only if necessary-- just letting dockers see barchat would cause way more use of the bar

2. Make bar chat shared between all bars. Basically a glorified /channel that you can only access from inside stations. Might actually make bars interesting, especially if done in conjunction with eliminating general-global-chat

TLDR; the bar is useless, despite being a frickin SPACE BAR! Let's come up with some simple interesting thing the devs could do to make it as interesting as a FRICKIN SPACE BAR is supposed to be

-1 to global bar chat. Bars should be local things. People who are right there in the station with you.

Rip off the strip club feature from gta5 where the player flirts with the dancer without being caught by the bouncer. Ripoff total recall and give the dancer 3 ta tas.

Humor aside. I'd hang out in the bar often if stations had interactive entertainment.

So, a while back the devs were talking about introducing a feature to record fights. This would be an internal recording of the actual movement data rather than video data, meaning the file size would be very small and the performance impact would be very low compared to video recording, and also meaning that you could do fun things like watch the fight from different perspectives. At least some of this functionality was actually developed and implemented. If whenever it is finished, bars could be used as a place to watch these replays with other people. Kind of like how in real life they watch football or whatever.
