Ineubis Light Warthog
Tl;Dr people: a warthog Mk4 with 2 s-ports like a hound
So, I enjoy the Hound's vertically aligned s-ports, but not it's paper thin armor or lack of strafing ability. Could we take a warthog Mk4 and give it the port configuration of the current hound?
Specific stats:
Ineubis Light Warthog
4/4/-/-/-
10,000 armor
6 cargo
2 Small ports, vertically aligned
5500kg
10m length <- this is listed on vo-wiki, but seems a tad redundant. Why is it there if these ships share the same model?
235N thrust
240N Turbo thrust
65 M/S standard speed
7.4Nm Spin Torque
220M/s turbo speed
58/s turbo energy consumption
600+ standing?
I did change a few things slightly, since the lighthog wouldnt be lugging around the equipment required for an L-port; please debate.

+1 ineubis needs a ship
Yeah; i found it odd that ineubis is some kind of defense researcher, and yet all they have is the raven :/
Why the hell would anyone fly that if IBGs, SVGs, RevCs, and corvults are vastly superior to this Frankenstein warthog?
The warthog's appeal is the single large port, and the corvus hound's appeal is the infiniturbo 225 m/s. Without either of those, nobody would give a shit about warthogs.

Not true. The hog 2 has long been both my preferred botting ship and travel ship.
hog 2 is fine because it has a L port. Re-read my post again, since you obviously didn't understand it the first time.
While the fun in the hog series is in the l-port, two small ports and the actual ability to not have armour made like 'A wet paper bag'-wash might shake things up a little. We need more new stuff here, VO is becoming too stagnant for the vets and the majority of long-time subbers to stay as long-term subbers.

Sorry kiddo, we've been there, done that. Making yet another variant of the same old ship won't make things any fresher. Just wait a teeny bit longer for Goliath to be flyable by players.
Joylessjoker is a glass-half-full kind of guy.

For once I'll agree with joylessjoker, new ships is a better idea than just making new versions of ships that have excisted forever.
I am waiting for a manufacturable Goliat, and hoping for new ship types, maybe Ineubis could be the first corporation to introduce a new ship ?

Yeah, a new looking ship
If the devs had a new ship model that would give combat capability with a vertically aligned 2 s-port setup, then I agree we could stick with that instead; the idea behind using the hog model was simply because it would be faster to implement (i think), given the model allready exists, and I beleive real dev attention is focused elsewhere.
aye, I agree with your points; this was more to see how people would feel about a verticle port style fighter.
