Charged Cannon graphic change
I think the graphic for the charged cannon shot should be changed to a high speed lightning type bolt. When i think charging of electricity I think lightning bolts...this could also allow for a new type of player, the ship-to-ship sniper. If it could have a range extended to 2000m and have no auto targeting, that would be pretty hard to shoot methinks especially if it is altered to eat up your entire battery, like a sniper shot would do, one shot, one kill, hope you dont miss. but if it were remade into a fast moving bolt/ray/zappydealy, it would be possible and people might actually buy the charged cannon. Is it just too hard to do graphicaly?
Edit: The rail gun is sort of a sniper weapon already, I acknowledge that, but I think a tweaked charged cannon could be better.

I always like thinking of the charged cannon as a "BFG" that could be charged up for a long period of time to do some *major* damage. From what I've heard it takes almost a full minute to charge up to 2,800 damage, which is really kind of weak. Here's my vision for the charged cannon:
1) Make it an l-port weapon
2) Increase the charge rate by 50%
3) Keep the current energy drain rate, and the current shot speed
4) up the maximum damage to 9,000, and give the weapon splash damage
5) Make the maxed out shot look even bigger and badder: KAFWOOM
A rag with two of these babies could take out any ship after about 3 minutes of charging. The shots would still be relatively slow, so this weapon could still be easily dodged and would really be ideal against the cap ship (when it comes back) or other heavies. A hog with this weapon could *almost* take out a Valk if it managed to survive for that long and if it managed to score a hit.

It takes about 17sec for full charge now.
Take the lightning plasma charge cannon thingy from Spike Speagal's Swordfish II ship in Cowboy Bebop, and apply similar graphics to the charge cannon of Vendetta (which is basically the same thing as having a continuous stream of plasma). Then you'll achieve total coolness. Well... of course it'll also have to be tweaked to actually be useful too. I mean right now it's too damn slow to hit anything.
