A simple idea that I believe can have a multitude of uses.

Damage: same as gat2
Range: 1000
Lifetime: 120 seconds
Weight: 2k

Only 1 mine per launcher, with a hefty refill cost of 100k per mine.

This can be used for many reasons really. Defending a sector or station, warding off a chaser while hauling, or maybe just giving a little extra support when it's really needed.

(This is just a base idea. Thoughts?)

I like the general idea of it. But I'd much more prefer if we could just manufacture turrets that we could deploy from our capships. That'd be a real cool long term feature. And so we wouldn't have to squeeze that idea into mines.

Save your parenting for your own kids, silly little daddy. I'm sure they would appreciate it if you devote more of your precious time to them instead of playing a silly little space game all of the time..

For the record, I have nothing against manufacturing and dropping turrets from ships. It would certainly lend to more interesting gameplay.
