Add LENB to convoy cargos
In lieu of the new no mines in the NFZ can we see LENBs added to convoy cargos. Obviously not as frequent as some other items but randomized among faction convoys so there isn't a pattern that can be easily figured out and exploited.
Also a pony please :)

+1 Also, add CWMs, TUs, and other manufactureable toys to the convoy cargo possibilities in the same way (i.e., smaller amounts and rarely occurring).
Finally, if easily do-able, make such items trident-only cargo. We need a reason to hunt and kill those fuckers.

The cargo holds of the basic tridents used by convoys should also be larger, 300cu is pretty weak considering their size relative to a behemoth. Makes them not usually worth the effort to harvest.

Interesting. What per-ship cargo quantities (a range) and degree of rarity do you guys suggest?
I would like to motivate people to go after convoys, but I want this stuff to remain fairly rare.

TUs, firecracker turrets, etc.: total of 1-2 items from this tier per trident (when they occur, should not occur in every trident, obviously);
Other stuff (LENBs, CWMs, IHDPC, etc.): total of 10-20 items from this tier per trident (when they occur, should not occur in every trident, obviously).

I agree with Lecter on the #s, and that it shouldn't be every Trident. I would suggest, just as a starting point with something like 1 in every 10 Tridents had one of those two options. Still would be a bit rare since not every voy has a dent in it.
I also think they should have some lower-mid tier parts for the actual Trident mission, if we're throwing things like TU's in there (not sure how far that "ect" went). From a RP perspective, I've always thought salvaging something as large as a capship would be commonplace (even more so if deconstructing them becomes a thing)......But I feel this might be an entirely different suggestion topic. Also one that has been brought up before....so I will easily drop it if it takes focus away from the OP, which I believe is important.

I don't think the LENBs need to be as rare. They are still easy to farm with 2 ppl working together. Considering the amount of work to kill an NPC trident in a convoy it should be worth while for the risk.
I agree the other stuff should be rare.
example
5 IHDPC total per day
5 cwm
1 TU
1 Fire Cracker turret
Never combined in the same dent and spread around the verse equally

+1 I find this interesting. And i want a reason to go after those things for once.
+1 attack the convoys!
Good feedback. So, I had hoped to put this in for the current release, during the past week, but it seems to be a little more complicated than anticipated. While many "bots" in the game just have randomized drops that we can manually define, the Kourier-based convoys are actually fairly "realistic" in that they determine a desired cargo assortment to go a given location, and then configures the convoy based on the size of the cargo. So, having something only be in a "Trident" is not how it currently works, nor is any kind of simple probability-based system for putting it into cargo. Right now if I just add LENBs to the convoys, you'll see them randomly put into Behemoths and whatever else.
So, anyway, that system will need to be re-worked to make this viable.

would there also be a possibility for a convoy-only item? just to encourage convoy hunting even more?
I'm fine with moth loads 😄
I have seen convoys that carry split loads. Would it be possible to do this with the listed weapons? Rather than a moth carrying 120 lenb, let it carry 4 lenb and 116 medical supplies.
+1 skytex
That doesn't simplify or help anything. The "split loads" are all calculated dynamically right now. It finds the cargo size, then generates the required number of ships, and then splits it across them without considering the type of cargo.
So having anything that does consider the cargo type, and injects specifically-configurable factors (like only having 4 LENBs on a moth) requires re-writing that code. At that point we could basically add anything, like just having it load LENBs on Tridents, or whatever other feature.

Oh dear god no re-writing any more code than needed!
Make it so simple that it can happen fast, please!

No one's proposing re-writing more code than needed. I'm just pointing out that Skytex's suggestion has effectively the "same cost" as doing anything else.
There is no "simple" solution, the system has to be modified, which will take some time to test and make sure it's all working. That's basically the point of my post from yesterday.

Thanks for the feedback on this Inc! +1 to the suggestion as a whole. Although I was looking forward to the value of my stockpile of lawneuts exploding :P
