The fog existed in M7 before there was ever a station there. It's nice to have little quirks that make sectors unique, giving the player something to explore.

I agree completely, things such as xith fog in azek, fog in greyspace etc are gems but potential future changes warrent such a removal.

Faille , the point I was making was that we built our dents with the protection on the fog, albeit we had to travel a long way in M7, removing the fog makes it relatively more risky.
