This is a suggestion that probably needs so little code, and can make such a difference. Why don't arklans drop cores? This will also make Superlight missions easier, because we can take the missions at Bractus much easier, and the other guardians are extremely hard.

Guardian cores shouldn't be that hard to farm really.

I was messing about with a mostly un leveled alt a week or so ago, botting mostly. Seems after a hive skirmish there were plenty enough of them floating around.

They are not terribly large, any reasonably fast ship, like an atlas x would be fine for picking them up and can still hold it's own quite well in combat, especially against bots. Bring a noob along as a gunner in it's turret to keep hostiles behind you out of their effective firing range.

Shouldn't be that hard to find one who would be glad of the XP boost for the kills and assists.

Even Orne guardians are not all that tough, they back off outside their ability to hit you if you throw just a couple shots at them.

I see no reason why the normal core drop rate shouldn't apply to Arklans, even if they drop Avalon and carry SSS. The thing that never made sense to me is: why don't they USE their Avalons? Now THAT would be fun!

Also, where are they GETTING all the SSS, and why don't they take it anywhere? Maybe it is a byproduct of their powerplant. SSS is bot poop.

I would not mind getting cores from arks. However, I have found that fennus seem to drop the most cores, just find the right sector and go to town :)

Yes, let's make arks use their avalons, making farming SSS MUCH harder, resulting in skyrocketing prices of SSS on market causing production of FFSAs and FCPs to plummet, making newbs all pissed that they can't either farm SSS on their own effectively nor get TGFT to help them build dents.

Wonderful idea that would immensely aid player retention, indeed!

Lol, what the heck! Have you EVER dodged an avalon? Even at that 200-500m range that people fight Arklans at, it's so easy to dodge an avalon. And Arklans don't drop as much SSS as I can farm in Pyronis E-13 within a matter of seconds.

Since the correct use of avalons is to fire them at the asteroid directly behind the intended target getting it caught in the splash damage, it follows that the bot implementation should adhere to this pattern of firing.

Just when you think you've dodged a few successive avalons, *BOOM* coming from behind you sends you to wherever you last homed. This will be incredibly frustrating for noobs not familiar with the procedure of luring bots out of the asteroid field.

You are still very young and trying out things in life, so how can you possibly know you won't ever touch another SSS again?
