Buff the hive queen gat
Since Queens can deshield and kill tridents with their gats, then users of a queen gat should be able to do the same.
-1 for substance, +1 for hilarious trolling
But the Queens also shoot two posis so it's not just the gat desheilding
queens fire a gat + 2 queen posis; so if I had a large enough power cell, my wraith could deshield a trident or one of those TPG thingies I forget the name of atm?
the real request here is: Make Queen Powercells drop!
I'd like to see Tridents being able to deshield and kill other tridents. Right now they're available weaponry is almost laughable in what it can do to other capships, hell, I don't think there's a single loadout for a dent that you can kill another dent with singlehandedly.
Actually, the wiki says that a Type M only has 25k units of shield, which is a lot less than the 80k the NPCs have. Even a single tube of Locust swarms does 30k (Chaos does 34k, and Avalons do 60k). So a Trident pilot should theoretically be able to drop another Trident's shields and then kill it via turrets.
Of course, if the enemy pilot is nearby, he can just use the dock/undock exploit to break target lock, so successfully cracking a Trident's shields with your Trident's swarms requires either an unattended vessel or an honorable opponent. And if anything goes wrong, you're now out of ammo. Avalons are slightly more forgiving in that area; it only takes half a tube, so you get two chances to try it. They've also got the advantage of not alerting the target by beeping incessantly while painting the sky with pretty blue lines. But they're also really easy to dodge or intercept with a fighter or shield turret, so...

I'm pretty sure the Type M got a shield buff at some point as it now takes 3 Avs to deshield it as opposed to the two it used to take.
Personally I'd rather have Teradons than a buffed trident.

yes, hoban would be safer in a teradon, but I'm not sure I'm ready to +1 that yet
you keep talkin shit yet you run every time you see me
I have tested and it takes 3 avs.
Late but...
