Put M7 back to the way it was
There is no longer much of a consequence of having one's trident de-shielded, ammo depleted, or damaged in Latos anymore, now that it's a two minute round trip for instant full repairs, reloads, and shield regeneration.
+1 for longer trips to and from m7 to put an end to the free M7 reps and reloads during i8 battles. But, I think I prefer the station that is currently there over the previous one.
-1 a) get better at killing dents and it doesn't matter how close it is
b) M7 is not a free repair/reload station

When i occasionally log in i like TU mining it at various docks so i'd prefer it stays the way it is now

TU mining the docks is great fun.

I suggest moving the station closer to the popular jump in points.

A proper combat force won't allow a dent to leave the sector.

It was changed for a good reason man...
It was changed for a good reason
What were the good reasons? What have we gained compared to what we lost?
What were the good reasons? What have we gained compared to what we lost?
Gained:
Easier access to the Latos M-7 station (which, for most people, makes the game way more fun).
Lost:
A dreadfully terrible and horrifically awful experience of getting to the Latos M-7 station (which for most people, made the game way less fun).
Now, I would be willing to say that just the coolness of the textures and objects that made that station would grant reasoning for using them elsewhere. I think something like a huge room that we can have an arena style team fight. Make the inside of the room a whole slew of the same objects that was used to make the old station.

@Darth: That is a trader's perspective, valid but I want to hear the pirate and combat perspectives.
It has certainly made trident-hunting in Latos harder, and made applying/maintaining a PCB lockdown more important than ever. However, it has also made hunting at the M-7 station viable, whereas before it was an absolute fucking nightmare.
Thanks Lector, so you see it as a net improvement...

I see the new station as an improvement for the same reasons CrazySpence and Dr. Lecter do. The old station in M7 was home-free as soon as you fly far enough out in the fog. The 30km+ distances involved meant that even if a scout with a PCB found your ship and tried to lock it down, it would take far too long for the rest of an attack force to converge for the kill.

I think the only reason the devs dropped that big assed station in the game was to show that they could make huge supermassive structures. And then about 2 weeks later they realised they had failed and had to obscure the entire sector with fog. Is it still foggy? Because if so, my only argument would be to remove the fog. The fog was added because the old cap station did destroy most mobile GPU's, and even some desktop GPU's.

The station launched with the fog. It was never intended to not have the fog. I wasn't concerned about mobile GPUs at the time, but rather desktops.
There were some times when I dropped the fog, persistently, for a little while, so people could see the whole station. But it was always intended to be fogged.
That being said, I thought the fog there was kind of interesting.
Anyway, regarding the OP, I don't see a real reason to change anything back. Although I'm open to using the old station asset somewhere else down the road.

Yeaaaah like player built stations where we can build parts and keep adding to it!
