The new cockpit UI was announced in the latest newspost

Honestly, I'd like to see a sector list that you could bind to a key to have it appear and while you're holding that key, press another key to go down the list to highlight a target, then disappear when the first key is released. This keeps it off the HUD and out of the way but allows access without opening the entire PDA/station interface and hijacking controls.

I suppose i could hack on a PoC with draugath's MDI Target List
