Alternate ship balance idea

This is a bit involved but here goes.
1. Make Grid Power be tied to ships instead of power cells. Bigger ships, bigger grid power. This could be worked out by number of L-ports/S-ports/turrets on the ship.
2. Make ships have innate power drain to support the grid. For instance a ship with a high grid power number would have higher power drain.
3. Adjust the power recharge and mass of the power cells. Heavy cells should be heavy and weigh down a light fighter, but have higher recharge rate. Also adjust turbo drain numbers on ships to make them perform as intended.

This is in response to people complaining about swarm hounds and other things, this gives the devs a way to nerf the use of certain weapons types on certain ship types without making magic weaponsslots or other crazy things. It also adds interesting strategy to designing a ship loadout.

If the main reason was for Swarm Hounds, then haven't people come to a solution already? I thought it was very likely that the Hound gets the large port replaced with another small one last time I checked the debate.

I'm all for interesting strategies and diverse ship loudouts, but before that I'd prefer more. more ships, more weapons, a way to trade ships porperly, VO 1.9 etc. etc.

The biggest problem with ship stats these days is that the low- and mid-tier stuff has hardly seen any stat adjustments in ages. Some haven't been changed since weapons added mass. Check the wiki history pages if you want to see for yourself.

This is how we end up with crap like the Hornet MkIII or Vulture MkIV being as horrible as they are despite having the same license requirements to far superior ships.
