"That's an accepted constant, 'oRe. And I've made plenty of suggestions to address that."
I think you and I have different ideas of what acceptable is.
This spy mine is just a workaround for the low population.

@ore
I said accepted, not acceptable. Low population isn't "OK", it's just accepted as an ongoing issue. Every suggestion shouldn't have to speak directly to increasing population (though a suggestion that works against player retention is a horrible idea). But that's beside the point, I think we just had a simple misunderstanding.
Your position, as far as I can tell, is that any awareness of activity in the universe should come through direct and active observation, or reported from someone who had as much. This would be in line with your previous opposition to people using "alts" to access other parts of the game.
I simply cannot agree. The universe is just simply way too large and expansive to support such a restrictive approach to gameplay. Discouraging the sharing of information between players in an MMORPG is counterintuitive. Rather, encouraging the sharing of information (and the coordination of efforts needed to gather that information) through built-in, accessible-to-all means is, to me, anyway, exactly the kind of thing this game needs more of.

So lemme get this straight. You'll have a bot that'll go out, launch a spy mine every 45 min in various sectors to contribute to the TGFT spybot IRC fapfest and nobody has to log in. Those that do can cower in empty sectors until the coast is clear? That should improve social interaction.
I suggest you reread what I've written in this thread. There you will find alignment.
