The MakeFriends plugin in the TCS plugin suit does a good job of making weapons fire automatically. Could it be possible to do something similar to this to make turrets fire for you?

Turrets are a nice addition, but having to stop piloting your ship to use them seems counter-intuitive, and most people can't get crews to man them.

MakeFriends does not make weapons fire automatically. That is a feature inherent to the mobile platforms and is based on the friendly state of a target.

Ok, so I got my info a little mixed up, but it would still be good if turrets would fire in their own.
