When the universe expands
This is not for right away, but when the universe is expanded please make a bunch of systems with
1) no stations
2) Cool stuff to see, mine, harvest, fight over, etc.
I want an area where there is a cost to getting destroyed, no way to come back to a battle quickly, a need to go in a group and defend each other and our cargo.
In my mind's eye, a WH in odia that leads to a string of rather dull systems, and continuing on they get more interesting as you go, with more stuff to fight over. The dull system can have worthless minerals but a lot of roid sectors between the WHs with high probability of storms and no predictable way through.

Also, more dead-ends.
As it is right now, the fewest wormholes a system has is 2, many have more. This makes blockading wormholes mostly a waste of time currently.

Blockading wormholes is a waste of time because not enough people are playing compared to the universe's size.
No, its because anyone can always go around you unless you have a team big enough to block all 4 wormholes.
Yes, and what's needed for a team big enough to block 4 wormholes?
greenwall quit criticizing random shit and keep on topic.
+1 to OP, however I think that any system with no stations should have better than average high end resources. The danger of having to be so far from safety should be rewarded. And +1 to dead ends, these should have particularly nice goodies in them.

The first couple systems without stations should have crap - they're there to provide the danger of having to be so far from safety that would be rewarded by the goodies in the further system(s).
Alternate thread title, however: When Hell Freezes Over

+1 to more Systems which valuable stuff and with no way for safety.
But greenwall is perfectly right here. I know it's tough to admit for everyone who enjoys this game: but even now the universe is way too large for the playerbase. You can sit on places that are supposed to be "high traffic points" for hours (e.g. Latos H2) and no one would pass.
So this idea is great, no doubt. In fact I've seen it more than once. But we defenitely need to wait with this until the developers pushed all the buttons to increase player-numbers (Steam release, iPhone release and the "feautured on iPhone" thing). And when they did that, they have to find even more ways to get more players. And when said players handed over their cash, THEN they can hire some more people and start thinking about an expansion.
Until then it is just wishful thinking.

Yeah, it's a great idea for "later".
