Let you change your local standing to respect/admire for other ship (npcs behavior +and player display) and docking rights.
Does not give you access to buy stuff at stations.
If you fire a weapon, the device deactivates until you leave sector.
No faction hit for killing you with this device if your real standing is not admired

maybe have the option to choose the local standing displayed from KOS to POS

An easy way to get temporary Immunity from the SF is too much.
This would negate the penalty of loosing access to your inventory for bad behavior.
This would be the tool of choice for harassing noobs in enemy nation space.

An easy way to get temporary Immunity from the SF is too much.
We could add a range detection from station guard, 500m,1000m? Station guard and SF would have a add on scanner built'in. If they detect you have the LSS equipped you get temp KOS.
This would negate the penalty of loosing access to your inventory for bad behavior.

if you open fire the spoofer deactivates, if you hit your target you get temp KOS, so there is no really change with current behavior. or we could make the grid requirement the same as a widowmaker so you can only equip the LSS and no weapons?

This is a good idea but not for things like docking rights (which it shouldn't do) what this would be useful is to players trading in areas they are nuetral or respected in so that myself or someone admired/pos doesn't notice they are a relatively free target

This addon would make it way too easy to get into hostile capital systems; I could fly right through the border sectors. Letting me dock with hostile stations is also excessive.
