Aeolus Light Behemoth change
-Drop the trade level to 4
Reason:
-f2p players
No subscribed player is ever going to bother with this variant but it makes a suitable ship for f2p and still requires some sustained effort on their part to get it (basic trade 3)
This along side the heavy miner 1 gives them access to two trade ships that they both have to work for to get and gives them a reason to stick around a little bit longer than normal giving folks like me someone to chase for a little bit longer
Neither of which moth really gives them any sort of serious advantage in the game but allows them to participate more fully and may eventually drive them to subscribe to get the normal variants

Are you fucking kidding me? 140cu cargo capacity is "not a serious advantage?" I believe that it is a mistake to allow f2pers access to heavy mining mk1.
We need to give f2p players more reasons to subscribe, not more reasons to freeload.
That said, I believe this is the wrong direction for areola light moth. What's better would be to buff it so that it finally appeals to subbers. Increase the max thurst speed to 190 or 200 to make it function in its intended role better as the "faster moth".

I seriously doubt a buffed up version is going to give f2p players any more incentive to subscribe than they already have. I for one, would still not bother with a buffed version, even without my trident, for the same reason I next to never use the standard moth... capacity.
Making the ship accessible to f2p players on the other hand might incentivize the to stay in the game a little longer before disappearing into the black.

@joylessjoker:
140cu is the moth miner 1, which is already available to F2P players who put in the time to get Basic Miner 2 (15,000cu mined and sold). I personally see no problem with enabling a "working class" of F2P miners and traders who can afford to pay off pirates. Plus, after investing the time needed for BM1, many players might commit to a sub. However, THIS thread is in regard to the Aeolus light moth, which is only 80cu, and the request is merely lowering the trade requirement from 5 to 4. I say go for it. It is an under-utilized ship that would not create any imbalance to put in the hands of F2P players, who, BTW, will have to run a ton of grey space procurements and other Aeolus faction-building missions to attain.
[EDIT: If you simply must have the buffed runner moth, make it the Light Moth Mk2 with sick subscriber-level requirements.]

In order for f2p to work it needs to not feel like 2nd class citizenship. This is a step in the right direction.

+1 yes do this.
I was alluding to something similar in this thread:
https://www.vendetta-online.com/x/msgboard/3/30348
Its not enough to just have the ship. The purpose must also be there.

^I agree with this, but its a very underused ship, so why not?

1 indeed. The Aeolus Behemoth would give F2P more advantages when playing, besides seeing that Devs show care of F2P they might feel more acquainted to support the Devs for further development.
It is already tested that making something previously only P2P for F2P gives a good advantage on development, because eventually F2P will feel grateful to go from F2P to P2P because they'll know - if we support Developers like they just did for us, making *there could be any item name, whichever would be changed to F2P available* available for us, there will be more good stuff coming. That is indeed a fact this works.

sure great idea trader badge 3 and trader level 4 would work, serco can get it near there boarders, uit can get it close by, but Smurfs are going to get screwed trying to get it. But I say go for it

I was going to say no, that F2P players already get enough content, but on further thought, why not? It sure as hell will not hurt anything.
