Livery Idea
Instead of having preset liveries (even though there is currently only a 1) it could be a good idea to pay 1 million and then be able to "paint" the ship as the pilot sees fit. By this I mean adding a button that could say "Edit Ship" that would take us into a system similar to the maximize option where we can drag and view the ship, but with the color selector still visible. From there we can select a color and begin customization.
+1 RAR!

The reason why liveries are preset, is so that other people will also see your ship looking different.
What you're describing is a completely dynamic player-created content generation system, which then requires all the data, for each uniquely configuring user, to be uploaded to the server and distributed to all other users.. either on-demand (load-time, when the given user becomes visible), or statically (patched in for all users, with updates).
In either case, what you're describing, while neat, is months of work for us to actually implement.
At a cost of a 1million credits, practically everyone would have a custom paintjob, which would mean a whole lot of data getting moved around.
So, no, that's not going to happen any time soon. We might add things like configurable areas for logos that might be selected by players or guilds, or other types of overlaid "stickers" for content like PKs or Levi-kills or some other notable accomplishment. But these configuration options would still be pretty uniform and static for everyone. Because completely dynamic player-created content for every player, in an MMO environment, is a "scale" problem that is technologically difficult to address, aside from being time-consuming to implement.

Ah ok. That does make much sense. I didn't know that implementing that would be so much work. The idea of adding a logo does sound very interesting though.
