Introductions forum
/me ignores magus's response
I think thats a brilliant idea toshiro,
I really needed that for when i was a n00b.
and it would be good if we had a place to send
the most inquisitive newbees to, so that we wont
waste all that playtime, with simple n00b questions.

you could make it so that every nation has its own "training ground", so that helping the newbies there would be in the interest of the respective nations. that way you'd give them a palce to ask question in peace and quiet and be responded in the same way (during wars or flag caps i don't take time to train newbies, but this forum would not be directly influenced by in-game happenings).
by taking care of your newbies in that forum, you'd prevent it from "drying out", and apart from that, i think it'd also increase the quality of the game/test community.

It may be worth creating an "introductions" forum for new players to introduce themselves and tell others the name(s) of their character. Just a thought for building community and such...

Couldn't they just do that in the game?

Don't we have the RP forum for that?

well, they could. but we can provide for a better reception by creating a special place. if it gets institutionalized, newbies know quickly where to turn to. once the forums will be advanced to a point that "stickies" are possible, we could have the most important game tips and such in there, being added to and changed by players. an update every now and then, and you have a manual, free of charge.

I'm not so sure about that Toshiro. Why would anybody check that forum if each person only posts there once?
