"Yoda your proposal might make sense if the devs could trust that every guild commander held themselves to the RoC. Obviously this is not the case."
We're already trusted enough to post on the forum without having to have each message approved by Whistler before it becomes visible to the world. If people post things that violate the rules, reactionary moderation fixes it after the fact. I don't see why the guild pages need to be handled any differently. Just add a way for the system to indicate to the mods which guilds have been recently added/altered so that they can skim through and fix anything untoward.

Wally, did you even read my post?
For TL;DR "you do not understand how the internet works, or how guild pages are currently handled"
I could post a decent image today, have it posted by whistler tomorrow, and then change the image days later if I wanted to be a dick, as whistler just adds the linked image as hosted by the poster (it would be soooo easy to upload a new image with the same name that's just BAD). I could make a forum for my guild, then later change it to point wherever I wanted (ie, clm-vo.com one day, midget porn the next, the URL is under _the posters_ control, not whistlers. They can change it when they like, even after the fact).
How is that any different to letting me post these things myself? Do you understand how the Internet works? Want me to make an example? I will.
But honest guilds should have this control. That is just my opinion of course. Any guild that posts unsavoury stuff wont last long, as I have found out with my BUM trick.

@ DeathSpores aka the guy who owes me 30 million for demanding 30 million.
That's tame compared to what I recently had, some would even say it passes as PG-13 :P

Further from me to agree with all of Savet's suggestions.
Commander should be able to appoint and dismiss Council....if 2-3 council members disappear it is difficult to get a vote for anyone new onto the Council.
(As a general point I am unsure why the voting system exists, is VO some form of democracy, it is mostly the Commander's guild anyway, isn't it?)

hell what happens to power separation?
The executive should never appoint/dismiss the legislative!
Maybe we could add a judiciary power? :p
The Guides are overriding the legislative power everytime they modify the guild roster. This activity should be the exception and not the rule.

I think Yoda just offered to give us some midget porn.
I can only say: +1 :)
But seriously, the people involved in guilds are pretty dedicated players usually, in general people here are fairly well behaved, the potential damage is low, and the post-hoc sanctions for abuse high enough, so let's drop the censorship/moderation already. (i.e. +1)

You're being ironic DeathSpores, right?

If sufficient players think theses changes would improve the game, then TGFT is quite happy to see them implemented.
Since we have a full compliment of members and officers who play the game as subscribers on a regular basis none of it would really affect us.
I do understand that it would be most helpful to players whose RP consists of creating spurious guilds on ftp or lite accounts in order to spread propaganda throughout the game to continue to do so, and if that entertains them and is considered ethical by SKV please feel free to implement it.

Ecka casts:
The last 3 guilds I have created (BUM, ASS, TIT) have nothing to do with SKV, they have 0 SKV alts in them even though hornblower likes to think so (just another case of him talking out of his ass with nothing to back it up. I'm now SKV of course, but I really cannot be considered SKV). None of them have been created with F2P or Lite accounts, as that is impossible. (BUM didn't die because of lack of council, it was renamed to G38 for having an obscenely long guild name with the word anus in, so I took out all my chars)
I've hated TGFT for way way way longer than SKV have. But alas, this isn't the place for RP Ecka. Please try to keep suggestions free of RP.

Thanks for admitting your maturity level, yoda.
@Catman
In @X we use the guild interface to manage the roster.
maybe you could try it.

Wally, you should play more. Sieger outed my first new guilds commander, (in-game, not while hiding on an alt himself via IRC), and the second were very obviously me. My maturity level has nothing to do with it. Bojan requested more TIT's in-game, and Bojan tends to get what he wants. (tweet)
Also like I said to Ecka, RP feelings should be kept out of such threads.
