For hive skirmishes, each time a player undocks they are automatically plotted back to the mission sector.

For escort missions, either do the same or add a button on the mission log that can be selected to reset the course for the pilot.

Doesn't it automatically plot the course for you when you take an escort mission? I could have sworn it does...

Only for the initial launch, if you dock at a station during escort, you have to plot the route again manually.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. DeathSpores is talking about what I meant. If the player dies or has to divert to a station for repairs or whatever reason, the course currently has to be manually reset.
