Docking Fee?
Say there's a 50 credit docking fee. Every 500 (100 docks) credits, an NPC defense ship is commissioned for in-sector patrol and protection.
Then it would be illegal for nations to trade with each other since money payed in docking fees would commision more defbots to thwart capping missions. Ooh. But then jerks with too much money would just go over to a dock and keep going in and out to replenish the defbots. Darn.
...but you can't dock in any enemy station where there are defense bots anyway. Unless you mean, like, by everyone docking in sector 9 they're causing defense bots for their respective nations to duke it out.
alk0n has a point. But you know, having about 15 NPCDEF bots duke it out in s9 woul dbe pretty awesome? Don't you agree?

Useless until we have governments or Guilds to actually use that money.
Once we get said organizations, it will be very cool, however.

I like the ideas for docking fees at neutral sectors like s9, s7, and s5, etc. But the sectors where that groups DefBots are shouldn't be charged. Also, where exactly would the money go? A bot that could loan money out to players that are broke? Or a bot that started all new players out with a certain amount of credits so they dont start out with 0 creds?
Needs more details about the Banking System, but once that's answered, I'm probably all for it!

How about a docking fee? Say only 5 credits or something at first. Money to go into the Nations Banks.
Later on the fee could be set by a nominated nation leader!
