Rotate Experimental Ships on certian day of month

Jul 06, 2015 biretak link
The other night I flew to my favorite corvus station and remembered a time when a player ran into the station and docked to ask what the heck I was about to pvp them in. What ship reminded me of that time? the "super awesome edition" of the vulture.

This could be done the first and third Friday of every month or mix it up a bit... Create some experimental versions of existing ships to drive players to certain factions and increase conflict. These would be taken by mission at the designated station where 5 of the experimental ship would be deposited in inventory (like "vulture super awesome edition 1a). Maybe certain experimental ships would be only available to LTS subscribers.

For example, a on the first friday of the month, Axia could release a version of the wraith that we all get 5 units to test. Or, to increase serco leveling, it could be announced that the first friday of august, serco players with proper Serco standing would get 10 of the "SCP Super Turbo edition 1a". AND>>> we can have fun with is, the flaw of the SCP Super Turbo edition 1A could be the trail of blue smoke it leaves ;) or the bright sparks it emits, etc.

Can anyone tell that kenny just wants a tank that can run away from anything at full turbo?

This is pathetic.

Yeah insane man I tell ya. It's almost like he's asking for a 3-small port light fighter with insane dodging abilities and sick armor that can also run away from anything...

OH! Wait...

Now you're just being a douchebag, very much in-character, Sieger. The Valk is designed to be fast, but cannot run away from everything, the Greyhound and SVG both have Turbo Thrust advantages over it. What part of "the valk is balanced" do you not understand? Or did you fail basic physics and maths?

The prom is a very good dodger, insane amount of armor (most in the game), and one large and two small ports. Oh and did I mention its spin torque, and ridiculous engines that can easily handle hugely heavy loadouts?

I'd say it's already balanced. On that note, both of you go make Serco alts, well, hop on your Serco alts and actually play using the prom. You'll see it never needs to turn tail, and even if it wants to, its insanely powerful engines give it enough of a boost to jump away without dying, also in part thanks to its insane armor.

I actually like this idea, but the inevitable result is that such ships become collector items that are never (or very rarely used) -- as is what happens with all ships that you can't get any more of.

I think devs could use this idea and turn it into profit.
Make those rare versions of ships and sell them to players at $1000 a piece.

All Siegers of VO will gladly pay for bragging rights.

And while we are at it... Sieger, I am selling 4 ultra rare CTF Trophies from Alpha, willing to pay $4000 for them?
Msg me in game :)

I do not care whether it is balanced against the Prom; it is a silly good fighter anyway and that cannot be talked away.
You were right this time, I just wanted to make fun of your statement, in fact I made you write a big reply :P

bojansplash - We agree there. It is a great idea to make cash. (And I actually mean this).
Making alternative versions, maybe different designs is never wrong. Though the price needs lowered, not everyone can be rich as me.

4 of them? There is more than one of them in the game? Then I am not interested, go away! ;)
