More options for Joysticks
Hi there, I am new playing this, so not sure if this has been already suggested.
I use a joy pad which has as you can imagine a lot of buttons. What I find is that in the Joystick section apart from the axis there is not much else to configure and I find that I cannot redefined the keyboard section to assign they joy pad's button to whatever I want and just have to go with the default assigned buttons leaving half of the available buttons in the joy pad with nothing to do.
Thanks.
Jaime

I played for a couple of weeks on a logitec joy pad and the only issue I had assigning commands to buttons was that the default for the x button was to bring up the mission log. When trying to assign this button, the mission log would come up and the bind would not be saved. I had to go into the wgaf.cfg while the client was closed and change the setting to nothing. I was then able to assign the key on my next login.
I posted a bug regarding this as there are other related issues to assigning keys.
I found that the joy pad sucked ass for me. I recommend joystick / keyboard or duel joystick. A lot of players do very well with a mouse and keyboard, but I don't work well with that combination.
Bottom line is if you are not able to assign the buttons / switches the way you like then there is another problem. It is normally quite easy to assign commands on gaming devices.

I use an xbox 360 gamepad and I've had no problems whatsoever assigning buttons. Maybe it's an issue with specific devices?

This is how I've got all of the buttons on my Logitech Extreme3D Pro assigned. Trying to do it all through the menu gets tedious.
